Avoid Irritating Other People - Choose a Decent Ringtone

The popularity of cell phones has reached the point that they can be found in almost every person’s pocket or bag. With this onslaught of cell phones becoming more and more ubiquitous, it is inevitable that ringtone noise will somehow pose as a problem in our day to day existence. Regardless of where we are, ringtones are present to make themselves noticed. To be sure, there are some ringtones that are quite pleasant to hear as well as soothing to listen to. It is, however, most unfortunate that indecent ringtones do exist and many people agree that such nuisances can be very hard to tolerate.

To categorize these annoying ringtones heard in public, there are several kinds namely:

* The frightening ringtones. These were made to remind you of a particular horror flick or a ghastly scene that would curdle your blood.
* The ringtones that are full of annoying slang. These do not give any respect at all to civilized society and to public morality.
* The ringtones that are too mushy and obvious. These are the kind that when heard in public give the listeners a blatant image of the sort of intimate relationship that is shared between the caller and the owner of the cell phone that is ringing.

I would definitely vouch that I could find many people who would side with me in saying that these three kinds of ringtones are annoyingly indecent when heard loudly in public. I am a social individual who goes out a lot and I have always been peeved at how the owners of these tasteless ringtones allow their ringers to disturb the people around them, including me.

I highly suggest doing away with these indecent ringtones and in doing so, the world would be less polluted and annoyed by noise composed of scary sound effects, slang, and indiscreet declarations of intimacy. This would be in accordance with what is known as a civilized society wherein people are considerate of others with their every action. Individuality through unique and self-expressing ringtones is fine for as long as you do not articulate that individuality at the cost of irritating or distracting the people around you.

There are those who will argue that ringtones are nothing to make a fuss of since it is such a small thing in life. It is really no big deal, they might even say. However, if we begin with such a little yet ever-present detail in our lives then we will make big strides towards better behavior in public as well as social ethics. Starting with the small things to show others that you are truly considerate of everyone around you is already a big step towards having a better society that cares about and respects people. If such is the impact of avoiding the use of indecent ringtones, then the results are, in the end, really a big deal.
